Do I need a new motor
« on: April 24, 2008, 09:15:03 PM »
Now I have another problem, the last glow plug that I was tightening I must have used to much force and now I think that the threads are worn out cuz the plug seems a little tight but keeps turning round and round   :'(   any idea if there is a way to fix this or do I need a new motor?

thanks for any help once again

Should be a button ( glow plug screws into) under the cooling head....That can be replaced...Rip the motor apart and clean it ( metal shavings is bad)...

wow...  thanks a lot for the quick reply this board is awesome.

I did take the motor apart about a week ago when I first got it and I did find 3 little chunks of metal although I wasn't able to find where they came from.   I'll have another look and see how things look in there this time.

Thanks again for the fast reply    :)
