It's an entry level buggy...  People expect everything to be world class.  This is made for a schmoe like me to beat the bananas off of, not to out run everything in it's class.

Definately entry level for the class but far from beginner friendly, this is for someone just getting out of running MT nitro looking for more speed and race action. It has potential to get new drivers racing the class and I think in the right hands it can win races.

However it is based on chassis technology that is about 10 years old (look up HODR or original OFNA buggy's from 10 years ago and you will see striking resemblances in the steering design. Buggy design has changed very little in so many years yet the subtle changes have shaved weight and improved handling as well as made the cars more durable, the HPI car does not appear to benifit from the changes but who knows what the durability is like.

Looks kinda like the old LX series buggies back when Hot Bodies built for OFNA... Before HPI bought 'em out...

Having said that, it's not an HPI but a Hot Bodies buggy relabeled as OFNA did back in the day, and actually still does... OFNA doesn't build their 8th scales but farm them out to HoBao and, at one time, Hot Bodies...

It's actually not so surprising to see that as many other companies have their stuff built by a 3rd party... AE and Thundertiger, HPI and Hot Bodies, OFNA and HoBao... And if I recall right, there's some collaboration between Serpent and X-Ray...
