I scored big
« on: August 03, 2011, 06:24:49 PM »
I picked this up last night for a $100 :o It came from a relative of the owner of sliverwing hobbies in Vancouver. The buggy was built in 1984 for display in the shop only!  It has the period correct OS FSR .21 and has never been started.  Obviously the seller wasn't into rc and didn't bother to research as new built landjump integra's fetch $800 and up.

Next to the my 1980 Landjump4D

If it don't fit...force it. If it breaks...it was meant to be replaced.

That brings back memories, seen it at Silverwing when they had the smaller shop on Hastings, when I was younger used to always go there and eye that rig, always pressing on it to see the shocks work... ha ha!! Nice  ;)

Thanks for the comments.
I jumped on this right away and by the time i hooked up with seller a few hrs later he had close to twenty emails. Buyzstuff i won't be running this one, I do run my 4D (seen in last pic) and a early 80's Bluebird Conqueror (rowdy baja clone) once in awhile.

It is too cool to beat up on. Looks like it could remove a finger.

This new built kit had been sitting for years due to missing parts I searched ebay international and Forums for ever with no luck.  A few months ago i mentioned this to Wes and he just happened to have a box FULL of new bluebird parts ;D I decided not to paint it up so here is the finished build thank you wes.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

This is printed on the side of the box.

Aluminum strong frame, Light and rustless, Perfect Oildamper to control jump of the chassis and to keep smooth genuine steel gear box which is not east deep to wear off the conqueror buggy will deep in your mind. ???
