castle case mods for cooling fans
« on: September 25, 2011, 07:00:34 AM »

the esc in the mamba max pro case is a sidwinder. the Mamba Max is the one with the fan epoxied to it. Both are working 3S with the sidewinder running twin 35t saturns. Both with 10 amp castle BECs installed. Replacement MMP case was 12 bucks. 3Racing fan and heatsink was 10. Well worth it to keep these escs cool. the case needed mods to fit the sidewinder circuit board. But it was simple with a dremel tool. Not easy with just a knife.
If you want to use a castle esc on a crawler you need a BEC or you will cut short the units service life. And a fan just adds piece of mind.  Got the MMP replacement case and the other fan both at RCP.
Seeking MMP esc, MMM esc, Matching pair of high torque servo's (or single), Wraiths, Aluminium C's and Hubs for Axial first gen and OCP axles, Complete vehicles with low hours and a low price. W.H.Y.
