1/16th or 1/18th Recommendations?
« on: April 01, 2012, 10:21:55 PM »
Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good vehicle in this size class with good part support.  I'm fine with 2wd, but also like 4wd.  Something that could take a bit of very mellow offroad would be nice.  I had a 1/16th Slash, but it was a bit of a rollover machine.  I would love to hear what people are running that's not based off the 1/16 Traxxas merv chassis.  I'm partial to buggies and SC trucks as opposed to monster trucks, but I'd also consider rally cars.  I  prefer vehicles with modular components rather than proprietary esc/receiver setups.  Right now the SC18 interests me, but it seems like they're getting harder and harder to come across.

Thanks!

Thanks for the tip on the SC18, unfortunately I was a day too late.

The more I read about the Losi 8ight, the more I think it's what I'm after, even if it's 1/14.

Thanks!

I have a losi mini 8 and I love it. This thing handles great and the fact it is brushless and the esc has lipo settings is awesome. Cant beat this deal.

I have two of the Losi MIni SCT and they are a ton of fun. Considering the abuse they have taken I have broken only the lower eye for the front shock off.  Now they eat tires if you run them on pavement but with the wheel spin and sliding they do it is to be expected. A word of warning. The two wheel drive is a lot harder to master than four wheel. Oh, and they can run Lippo 2 if you realy want a rocket.....

Shop aroun and you can get them at a good price. A lot of Mini T parts bolt right on so there are lots of performance parts available.
