monster truck is a "Lobo" 4wd
« on: April 17, 2013, 10:24:04 AM »
I'm posting this up on behalf of a member of my Jeep club.
Any ideas will be forwarded...

Anybody know of a local hobby or electronics shop that can fix a vintage RC?  I have a late 80's vintage RC monster truck. It's mine from when I was a kid and I just found out my dad kept it along with a few others sand rails - all are "lobo" & bought from Sears, but they are made my Nikko.  The monster truck is a "Lobo" 4wd & I really want to get it drives but the steering is totally dead, not action at all.  I think the linkage is fine so assume it is an electrical issue.  Needs a new battery pack as well.

As I recall it stopped working completley after I drove it into the swimming pool  .  The fact that it even turns on is pretty cool so it has given me hope that it can be brought back to life!

Grateful for any advice.
