Points races
« on: June 19, 2014, 03:40:04 PM »
Hey guys.  I'm pretty much brand new to racing for a purpose.  Just want to know, I've got an SC10 2x4, and an SC10 4x4.  4x4 has been somewhat converted to a buggy, wing, body, but not wheels, tires.   I just want to know what are the requirements to officially compete in the races here?   If anyone could help me out that would be awesome.  I want to know all the limitations, esc, motor, bodies, tires, batteries.

Thanks to anyone that can help, Tyson.

The main seperators in classes are battery size. 1/10 scale run max a 2s battery, while a 1/8 scale runs 3-4s batteries. Also in a sc class you are supposed to run a sc body. As for a sc10 4x4 buggy not totally sure which class to put you into. If you are running as a buggy I guess 4x4 buggy?

Thanks for the reply.  So, for example, I have a Castle SV3 and 4700kv combo in my 2wd right now, powered with a 2s, and an SC body on it.  Thats means I can race in the 2wd SC class?

As for the buggy conversion, I think other than novice class I'm screwed?  Can't run it against 1:10 buggies as they are a lot smaller.  A 1:10 SC is about the same size as a 1:8 buggy no?

Thanks for the help. I would really like to try my hand at some real racing.  I've spent a bit of time burning around the coquitlam track.  Really happy to see one closer to home.

If I can register as a member of Outlaw while im at the track I would definitely like to.  Glad to support local RC

Hey Tyson your SC 1/10 2wd would fit in the class. I would suggest  to bring out your conversion and we can take a look at what its best suited in. We will have membership forms at our events for you to take a look at.

Our first points race starts July 13 which is a Sunday. Come out and sign up for our big weekly race events or sign up on our website. You can pay day of but early registry allows me to get more into the computer sooner. Open practice 8-9
Controlled practice 9-10
Racers meeting 10:15
First race 10:30

Late entries will sign up as we run quals and jump in as we go.

Our points system is in our rulebook but for people without a computer our points will increase by one per placement. Being a midseason start this allows a close competition throughout the season. For you all that aren't interested in points racing due to your ability to only be at a few races you will receive points anyways.

Member race entry $15 first class $10 second and third
Non mmember race entry $20 first class $15 second and third

Come out and let's get our dirt on!!!!!
