« on: December 11, 2014, 11:54:24 AM »
Is there any interest in RC Drag Racing

Here Drag racing is very mobile and
Can be set up just about any where.
Let's here what you guys think.

I think everyone got hyped up when those Traxxas cars sold for a deal?. however I never did see or hear of much of anything being setup. Perhaps a few races but no set season or anything.

Would be cool for sure if a perfect area would be found to use.  O0

I'm for sure interested.  I currently have a Traxxas funny car, a converted TC4, a half complete custom onroad drag, and a half complete SC chassis based drag.

Pretty much anything can be drag raced.  It should be more popular but there needs to be someone who will champion the effort.

I own a couple of custom made drag cars, I had a traxxas funny car but sold it because I never used it. I think it would be great if we could get a bunch together.

Rubiconmike,  like anything else, someone has to get the ball rolling and that person can be you  O0

You could start by holding a small event and gage the response.

start your own club in FB,  good luck, I think there is potentially for sure.   8)

An even paved parking lot can be a good starting point for your set up.

The first day we got them it was raining, so we went to Walmart in Abby and used them in the underground. It was so hectic lol. Bashed them up pretty good.
Just got the timing system setup with an iPhone so we get all the features.
It's pretty hard to find a nice flat open area, we were using a warehouse parking lot but I guess they don't appreciate us being there because they started locking the gate.
Just got to wait for the weather to get better. Would be fun if there were more people

I am not into drag racing myself however, I think there is potential for it.

It just needs more exposure.

Shoot a video the next time you guys are out and post it here to start with, I would like to watch that.

Also post pictures of the cars so that everyone can see them in here and FB.

You never know, you might start a new club by the summer.
