Nitro Rally?
« on: March 31, 2008, 12:59:33 AM »
I picked one up and I'd like to burn around the dirt a bit after I'm done trying it out on pavement I do believe. Is there anyone out there running cars in dirt? I don't want to jump the damn thing (well not to heigh anyhow) but I do want to rip it around... maybe this is my chance to check out a track and see if it would make it around one. Humm.

Any Ideas?

I have a Kyosho Landmax2 I plan on bringing out of the house again this summer!  It's an eighth scale rally car, which runs on nitromethane.

Good, let me know when you head out. Thanks. I hope my car is still in one piece by then.

Well, it's not my fault I'm a broke student, and school takes all my time...  That may be next on the block of my gear if it comes to that.  Either that, or the TTR buggy, as the Aeromax & TA05 aren't going anywhere, and my cousin enjoys having the TT01 to drive at meets.  I don't think my brother would be too happy if "his" TA03 disappeared, either.  So basically, the Tamiya stuff stays, no matter what.

If you're interested, though, I'd love to find a way to take that new DF02 off your hands, so it can actually see some dirt!  I have no electric off-road stuff, and am looking for a way to finance one...  Even if it means saying bye to my Ibanez...  (Strat and PRS ain't going no where!)

Oh yeah, and by the way, I've never made it out/felt the need to take my Landmax any further than my own backyard yet.  If you find an awesome place to run, let me know.  If not, maybe Vonclod should join us at my place...

I have a Megatech Car that has a high ride height.... my first nitro and I don't expect it to be a beast but I"m sure it will get around. KPs bush might be the best place I've been thinking. No one seems to bother with the nirtos running there, plus the guys have been doing alot of work there from what I understand in preperation for the picnic. You guys into that area?

was there today..its a cool little spot...its a perfect size for a bunch of 1/18th scales , you could run a few 1/10th scales there but more than one 1/8th would be crazy..barry was running his ae bl 8 and it was pretty cool but used up alot of space, he definatly knows how to drive that buggy, very nice spot..barry should have some vid up tonight
