so here I am building the kit like a sucker. The M.S.R.P. is a lil silly as it costs less to buy the parts and build it. I reckon they will sell for like 700 bucks when they hit the market.

I use the right size fasteners and know how to use c- clips. I don't over tighten fasteners and I know what loctite is. I also use lubricants and rust inhibitors.

I'd get one if there was enough of them for a full class of 1/8 scale short course at Kamikaze.
Interesting that they seem to offer it in both Castle and 2 LRP versions. +1 on the Castle version.
Anybody know if they use the buggy or truggy chassis in the SC8e kit?

Yeah I guess with a fancy radio and steering servo 1000 - 1200 is easy.

My RC8Te truggy cost well over a grand.
Kit - $500
MMM - $450
Servo - $150
Wheels/Tires - $100
Receiver - $80
Although, most of my RCs cost close to or over a grand once you add it all up.

My kit was 425 with tax. The MMM i ordered is coming in to me at 320 bucks with tax and shipping, the radio I traded for aswell as the servo I have. I could get the kit for a bit less If I had the patience but not much. And three cans of paint. I reckon you need at least a good 50 buck or more servo, and the radio should be pretty fancy as a glitch seems hazardous. I am using the stock tires but I am not sure if they are bunk or not. The thing is fast and stable and drives like a dream. Most fun I had with an RC yet. Thanks Gunsmith for the sweet radio a few months back. Finally tried it. The buggy I assume has better handling but I like the Trophy bodies. For now I'm running it on A HV Novak brushless whilst I wait. It works great as long as you pit for some cooling down after speed runs. The web said m.s.r.p. was $999, but i'm hoping for less.
