CAMRC 2016 Season information
« on: February 24, 2016, 12:19:13 AM »
Hello fellow racers.

Some exciting news for the upcoming season:

The biggest change this year is we are racing on Saturdays!

CAMRC will no longer be proving perishable food at the track. We will provide the BBQ and propane to cook food, but you have to bring you own food. I'll try to get a food truck to come down around lunch for 90min or so but if the merchant doesn't make enough money they will most likely won't come again. I'll let racers know if the food truck is coming closer to the race so they can make arrangements for food.

The non-GVRD discount is being scrapped. All racers who want to receive the member discounted race fees will have to purchase an annual membership.

The use of personal transponders is now mandatory. The novice class can continue to use house transponders free of charge. During the transition, there will be an option for non-novice racers to rent house transponders for a fee of $10/day. With the use of personal transponders, it will make for a much smoother experience than in past. I'll be contacting AMB to inquire if we can arrange a group purchase, I will let you know as soon I hear back from them.

The race day schedule will be fast paced this year. After you finish racing put your car down at pits and head directly to your marshalling position and if your are to there at the start of the race we will start docking laps. There will be minimal time between the end of one race and the start of the next, no more than 2 minutes. If you are not on the track after 2 minutes, then the race will start without you. Once you?re ready you can join the race in progress.

We will have water, pop and some non-perishable food items for sale at track.

You can find the full season schedule at

2016 memberships are for sale at and we encourage racers to buy their memberships before the season starts. This means you don?t have to worry about bringing extra money to the track at the first race, but more importantly, you?ll help CAMRC fund the track rebuild which will be commencing shortly once weather permits it.

We will again have a portable toilet on site.

This year we will be holding a 3-day event on May 13-15 and if that weekend rains out it will be moved to a scheduled weekend in June where it will turn a scheduled race day into 3-day event.

Following classes:
1/10th 2wd Buggy mod
1/10th 2wd Truck mod
1/10th 2wd Short Course mod
1/10th 4wd Buggy mod
1/10th 4wd Short Course mod
1/8th E-Buggy
1/8th nitro Buggy
1/8th E-Truggy
1/8th nitro Truggy

We need 5 racers in one class if less then five classes of same scale type will be combined.

With 10 races there will be 3 drop outs and if we get rained out twice we will have 8 races with 2 drop outs.

Practice will start 8:30 until 9:45.
Race registration start 8:15 till 9:30.
Drivers meeting 9:50 race will start 10:00.

3 day event time's will be announced as the registration for the event begins.

Thanks for your patience guys! See you all at the dirt!
